We often disagree with the opinions and views of many of the leading journalists and would like to hold them accountable for their statements. But to undertake personal attacks on the families of said journalists is wrong. They (families) were not responsible for the words in the article. DD... I fully support your views. I were a person who used to post abusive comments. I stopped doing so, when some friends objected to my comments. I now realise that such comments trivialise the discussions and divert attention away from real issues. You can always use humour. I feel nothing stings like humour does!
kuttychathan,
thanks for your comments. I'm sure most readers who discuss their views on this blog, agree with your thoughts here. If our viewpoints are right, then there should be no reason to abuse the other side. After all this is a civilized forum :)
On another front...
A few days ago a prominent, young industrialist, was killed in Kerala. He was stabbed to death, while travelling with two well known goondas. It is an open secret that the goondas are associates of CPM. It is a 'famous' secret in Kerala, that all such criminal and anti-social activities in the state are in one way or another, connected with the well known sons of two CPM ministers.
What is amusing is the very amateurish or foolish way in which the police are trying to cover-up the crime. What more? The way in which the 'secrets' are leaking to the press.
The police personnel in Kerala are not fools. I think what lies behind the amateurish performance of the police is the impotent rage of many honest and decent officers, who are forced to dance to the tunes of Marxist-Goonda combine.
While all the media are Kerala is tom-tomming the story, the chindu has adopted an ostrich policy. But what else we expect chindu to do?
DD,
Completely agree with maintaining dignity but what's one supposed to do when ones attacked with filth and abuse if one doesn't agree with the opponent?
Your entire bunch of Chindi
hypocrites are hilarious...In the blue corner you go around making accusations on the basis of some chindi 'alternate-state' historians and attempt to defile other people's reputations and in the red corner you again want your own personas to be sacrosanct.
Your analyses are fundamentally rooted in maligning other people - Nothing whatsoever to do with theories or strength of the arguments.
So like the fallen facade of the Sanghis - perhaps you would also introspect and resolve your own contradictions first and then perhaps dare to raise your Chindi head.
Aryan Culler, Kuttychathan meant to say that humour should sting, not stink! I think your humour falls in the latter category!
I don't think anyone is objecting to anyone who wants to write a differing view here. But then when people like you have no view but only rhetoric, what are others supposed to do? Or in your own words, in the "red corner" you say this blog is not good, but in the "blue corner" you are still searching for concrete examples to validate your point. :P

@harish - gandhigiri :-) till the opponent gets tired :)
Harish,
You are right there are cases where these "intelligentsia" are rabid, I'm not recommending Gandhigiri, but rather attack with force of logic than stooping to low blow attacks about family and pets.
I would like to hear your views on this.
Aryan Culler,
Thanks for your opinions. But I would strongly recommend you read it first before publishing it. Without any logic, examples to support, your opinions to simply put it are a waste of calories on your part.
Sudhir,
thanks for your support. The problem with the Left supporters is that they rarely have any facts to support their opinions and are left to making pointless noises as Culler shows.
DD,
True. Neither do i believe in gandhigiri. But even if you dont start the verbal filth, you are compelled to hit back with the same force or greater when it comes to matters relating to ones family or the usual abuse like "fascist", "nazi", "genocidal" etc. I dunno if there's is a way to prevent such misbehavior from since its more related to personal ego rather than ideology or logic and the rules of debate.
Friends... I think if we continue this discussion, Aryan Culler bhai will soon become a fan of this blog!
