Abhinav Chandrachud
The
morality and constitutionality of the torture techniques used by the
U.S. post-9/11 involve significant questions in the Indian context,
especially in the light of Kasab’s allegations that his confession was
obtained by means of torture.

Most of the so called 'secular' & 'human rights' NGOs are nothing but front organisations propped up by Evangelists & Jehadis. The get a lot of money from outside. That is why they are concerned only with the rights of evangelists & jehadis. Thousands of poor people get tortured as 'suspects' in petty crimes, in police lock-ups all over India, everyday. None of these 'human right' NGO do any thing for them.
Abhinav Mother Chud can go teach these rights to north korean monarch Kim Jong II. He will understand his language better than any body else.
Well you cant deny its the 'in thing' these days... to take the side of the 'under dog', to fight for the 'rights of the downtrodden'.
We really need to save these articles as pdfs. I believe very soon a time will come when wouldnt want the world to see what they had said then. Such fun it would be, to publish this article then.
'Abhinav Mother chud' hahahaha....
Abey suar ki aulad, mather chode. Malum hai tu kisey gaali dey raha hai. Is harvard bandey ko gali dey, par 'chanderchood' shiv bhagwaan ka naam hai. Saley randi, hamarey hindu bhagwan ko kyun gaali dey raha hai rey bhadwey...??
and two wrong dont make right. torture can make right? what if innocent boys tortured? then? gaali dey raha hai bhadwa saala...
which harward grad want become in ngo you idiot? get facts write before talking.
No man can ever forgive terrorist. but as man above say, what if torture used against innocent people? against you? then?
Yes, I think you're being unfair just because the article appeared in a newspaper which you're not fond of (the Hindu). I think the author has written a balanced analysis. He says that torture should not be used to 'settle scores', and says that the fact that it may be used to save lives makes it a difficult question. In fact, he even suggests possible ways to legalize torture, while exposing the moral arguments which may be made against these.
You're blog post is just being facetious. Kuttychathan, if you think there are no human rights NGOs which deal with ordinary 'criminals' in police lock ups, it just shows your own ignorance.
Gandaragolaka, it's very easy to abuse people. You guys should probably read the article once more. Grow up dude...
Janata! Please dont get me wrong.
I just liked the word-play of the anonymous guy who commented before me. In fact, Shiva is my ishta-devata (My name is Kedar, a name of Shiva).
So just cool down. We are all on the same side. And this little thing is NOT the point of the post. So lets not fight on this one now.
All,
Please focus on the content of the blog post and your response to the author. I know its easy to get carried away with some of these "secular" writers.
But lets keep this blog clean and not abuse each other.
to the anonymous poster who thinks it is unfair:
please stop posting anonymously. a name is not very difficult to choose.
there are several flaws in the argument but i will pick a couple for illustration purposes.
the comparison with usa is flawed. kasab is not a suspect; he was picked up while perpetrating a crime.
emergencies have different operating procedures. for example, the fundamental rights of the citizens could be taken away in an emergency situation. and these rights could be taken away every single time there is an emergency. that is the procedure. the fault does not lie in the procedure itself. the problem lies somewhere else.
torture warrants model elaborates the rationale behind torture. and it is clearly meant to be used only in larger interests of the society. putting the society over the individual. the author obviously wants to pick on frivolous things and make a case out of the individual's lost rights. there is no moral dilemma here and those advocating torture are not bloodthirsty beasts.
your statement that he is suggesting ways to legalize torture is wrong. he is opposing torture per se. and his opposition is based not on logical grounds but on moral ones. calling this blog facetious is the typical communist name calling when the failings are exposed.
To the Anonymous friend who has commented on my ignorance... Friend, please tell me about a few NGOs which fight for the human rights of the poor WITHOUT an axe to grind behind them.
As for my comments on the 'secular' NGOs, I know several of them personally and I have substantial information regarding their modus operandi, information that can stand the scrutiy of a court of law....
I respect your point of view, but please remove the profanity used by the anonymous person, which is repeated by Gandaragolaka.
I being in complete agreement with Vidhi. insulting mother is not being like hindu. insulting shiv bhagwaan will never be forgiven. we Hindu are decent people. this insult shows us in bad light. please remove gaali used by anonymous persons.
If you can't speak well of someone, rather don't say anything.'Let's all be masters of our mouths, so that we won't be slaves of our words.'
I think the author of this piece has given an opinion. Give yours. But each to his own. What will you try to put across by abusing him and his mother( read article in http://www.hindustantimes.com/StoryPage/StoryPage.aspx?sectionName=NLetter&id=ad3110b8-a871-4f29-8074-ef6a0687883e&Headline=Former+chief+justice+of+India+passes+away)
who is no more.
I think we need writers who think differently. Who know are culture and are unafraid of giving an opinion. Don''t douse their fire by posting this. It's not fair.
My Dear Dirt Digger,
You are a Dick, for calling Abhinav a Jackass... I dont personaly know him... but what little I do know about him, he has more brains than your whole fucking family combined...
