Brinda leads list of intellectuals

Intellectuals, artists and women activists have expressed deep concern over the observations of Chief Justice of India (CJI) K.G. Balakrishnan against human rights activist Teesta Setalvad in open court on February 19.

The signatories include Brinda Karat, Vina Mazumdar, Jayati Ghosh, Githa Hariharan, Rajni Palriwala, Syeed Mirza, M.K Raina, Indra Chandrashekhar, Rajan Prasad, Virendra Saini, Ram....

Thankfully there was no photo. You rarely get to read any Brinda news sans photo on Chindu.

Coming to the news, these so called social activists are often overtly sensational and deserve to be treated with the contempt that the CJI displayed in this case. It don't understand why Teesta and her cohorts can't exhibit the same zeal in pursuing issues that embarrass a non-BJP party/organization.

Teesta and her cohorts belong to a very special breed called "selective secularists". That is why Hindu victims of minority terrorism do not interest them. There is no award, reward, media exposure, seminar-lecture circuit or fat fellowships to be gained by showing sympathy for "majority" community victims. According to the gospel of JNU-jolawallah intellectuals only minorities qualify for victimhood.

If anyone can read the works of Teesta, you can understand how a person with very low intellect (to say rather less than a layman) is projected with high stature by our media, courtesy of tags like "anti-Hindu", "anti-modi" etc..
Her recent invention was Chatrapathi Shivaji is a Shudra.

Don't dignify a two-bit Islamist with titles like "selective secularist"! This woman is a hate-monger, and a threat to religious harmony in India.

It seems pseudointellectuals, pseudosecularists, communist, UPA and its cronies completely playing the minority cards. They did not show the same sentiment when MF Hussain painted nude Bharathmata or Hindu Gods and Goddesses. They did not feel it pertinent to condemn or reprimand Hussain.
