What people of any distinct culture can learn from ants

I came across this interesting article Ant mega-colony takes over world on the BBC. There were many surprising facts discovered by scientists about these Argentine ants which have created nests all over the world.
One can draw any number of parallels to the behavior of these insects to current issues faced by mankind. The magnitude of the problem is defined here
In Europe, one vast colony of Argentine ants is thought to stretch for 6,000km (3,700 miles) along the Mediterranean coast, while another in the US, known as the 'Californian large', extends over 900km (560 miles) along the coast of California. A third huge colony exists on the west coast of Japan.

A unique behavioral observation was made
..whenever ants from the main European and Californian super-colonies and those from the largest colony in Japan came into contact, they acted as if they were old friends.

Another point...today's chindu carries this report "elderly, children, advised to skip Haj" (page 6 Kerala Edition). That is fine. The chindu is now a newspaper primarily meant for muslims. So it should concern itself about muslims going to Haj. On the edit page haji bhadran is drooling over Iran. The likes of bhadran, who have spent a few days in Iran, polishing the shoes of ayotollas and f**king the wives of fellow diplomats, seem to think their experience give them unmatched wisdom about Iranian Jehadi society.

On the op-ed page another story lifted from Guardian says how lovely the Iranian jehadis are...

So all is as usual in chindu...

The economic survey for 2008-9 was presented to the Indian Parliament yesterday.

Two English newspapers have written editorials about it, today.

The editorial of Paper-A is titled "An Impractical Wish List". The editorial of Paper-B is titled "Optimistic Survey". The titles reveal much about their views.

The Paper-A concludes "The recommendations may not be fully reflected in the budget. Yet, its survey of the macroeconomy and its analysis indicate the direction in which government policy would be moving. Some of its suggestions seem radical and it is unlikely that many of them will find immediate acceptance."

The Paper-B concludes "The Survey holds out reforms as a condition for growth; the list is impressive, from decontrol of coal and petroleum fuel to divestment in more public sector units. These are not new agendas and they have not enthused the market. What could, however, become a novelty is a commitment from the Government that these will be implemented. The prospects for 7 per cent growth this year, as the Survey points out, depends as much on them to fire domestic markets as on global recovery."

The Paper-A is called 'The Hindu'.
The Paper-B is called 'The Business Line'

Both of them are published from Anna Salai, in Chennai.

Both of them are owned by Kasturi family, which in the past has produced so many great journalists, but now produces only idiots, may be because of decades of in-breeding.

Most of all, both the papers are "edited" by a motherf***er called N. Ram.

One more point... The last page of chindu (Kerala Edition) carries this report "Muslim clerics feel the judgment on homosexuality will destroy family system".

Not only Islam, but all semitic religions treat homosexuality as a sin. But chindu as usual is concerned only with the muslims. It is fine too. Chindu is now a newspaper primarily meant for muslims... Hindus are grudgingly allowed to read the paper, so long as they do not offened the 'infinitely- offensible' islamic feelings

In its "opinion page" today, Chindu proudly proclaims:

Why next moon walker will be Chinese

This article (outsourced, as usual from Chindu's foreign favourite, The Guardian), also talks slightly favrouable about our own space programme.

But, Chindu true to its synonym CBCNN, gives priority and importance to comrade-land beyond the Himalays.

Chief would certainly admire the following quote attributed to some London Prof. "The main difference between China and America now is that China can just do something — they don't need to ask permission or go through a democratic process....."

Was it not already evident in Tibet and Tienanman?

I have been following this blog from quite a while, but the recent usage of foul langauge is a little dis-concerting.

I just wanted to let you know how I feel, for I really think this is the only site that has fully loaded quality content while exposing The Hindu.

My honest suggestion is that we stop the usage of foul language, and continue the good work in decent terms.
