2000=2500

Suddenly, the number of people killed in Gujarat has become 2500. How convenient. And it is being termed "Genocide" and not "pogrom" anymore.

The Hindu : Front Page : Don’t compare Godhra to Nandigram: Yechury
This was nothing but trivialising the serious issue of state-sponsored genocide in Gujarat, in which more than 2,500 people were killed.

"Cong can`t find a contestant for Modi". According to a news report (Business Standard, Nov. 23, 2007), "the party is now in a double fix. It can neither find a suitable chief ministerial candidate nor one who will be ready to fight against Modi with only the slenderest hope of seeing victory."

Perhaps, the Chief should take up the challenge now that the show-piece secularists have done a strategic retreat.
