Chindu celebrates Dr. Thapar's "accomplishments"

History, it is said, is written by winners of wars. However it is also written by people who have biased opinions and prejudices against society and want to narrate their imagination which is often negated by evidence.
A prime example of such a person is Dr. Romila Thapar who leads the left wing educational researchers at the JNU. Apparently she has been awarded the 2008 Kluge prize by the US Library of Congress, as reported here.
As the US LoC stated,
“created a new and more pluralistic view of Indian civilisation, which had seemed more unitary and unchanging, by scrutinising its evolution over two millennia and searching out its historical consciousness.

For a detailed expose of how biased and unscientific Dr. Thapar and other similar Marxist historians are, do check out Arun Shourie's book, Eminent Historians: Their Technology, Their Line, Their Fraud
here
Given the hatchet job done to Indian culture by people like Dr.Thapar, I do not find it surprising that Chindu celebrates her.

A review of the book on the link is enough to pop eyes on whom the U.S. Government bestows it's charms.

Clearly if our people realise the true weight of India's culture in gold, and work towards reachieving it, we could be a much more potent force in the world today.

The U.S. seems to know this and wants to stop us in our tracks to stardom!

Hi All,
An interesting discussion is going on in Facebook asking Bakra(Barkha) Dutt to go off air.

Here is the pitiful defence by the "top" jouranlist of Bharat.

The whole non-stop 24/7 TV coverage looked more as if the channels were competing for some "South Asian Journalism Prize" than any somber reporting, with all the immature shouting, shrieking etc. by the reporters.

At one point this Barkha reporter brought in two men and identified one as a Muslim (whose son was trapped inside the Taj) and the other as a just-escaped Hindu from the Taj. After some superficial question answers she shouted that is "syncretic" India!

Karmasura,
The literary world is filled with lots of people with hidden agendas. The leftist writers have a global clique in promoting writers of their ilk. Dr.Thapar is one of them and serves her own interest than the country's.
Rather than blaming the US and others we should look inwards and stop people who bleed us from inside.
Thats just my humble opinion.

SAN,
Thanks for your thoughts.
I'm a bit p-ed off with idiots like Barkha Dutt and this new age live media circus act of showing everything live without care for people's lives. Probably write on that soon.

Anon,
Thanks for your thoughts. Its sad to see such bottom feeders peddle trash as journalism. The shrieking and jabbering was one reason why I was watching mostly on mute :)

Dirt Digger,

Of course we need to cut down the plaque (traitors) in our nation's arteries, but to assume that this plaque has been generated by itself is in vain. After all, we need the high amount of LDL cholesterol to generate the plaque. Truly there should be something else that has caused some of our elite to be self-loathing.

One possibility is the English education imparted to these folks, which had been generated by the Britons, and the U.S. has just picked up on its tricks and continued to fan the flames of anti-nationalist intelligence by continuing programs to motivate such people.

I wish there come a time when the Indian government can announce a person unfit to receive so and so award for his/her anti-national leanings outrightly.

If only wishes were horses!!
