Neena Vyas reports her own interpretations as news

In what must be the worst forms of journalistic reporting, Neena Vyas interprets BJP's statements with malice. What we read is not excerpts from the press release but an exclusive version of what she thinks is the intention behind those statements. How she came to those conclusions is not known but it reveals her sick mind.
Neena Vyas makes no attempt to hide behind a fig leaf while exposing her own secular credentials. This article should make her a top contender for the worst reporter of the year, with Siddharth Varadarajan running a close second.
The Hindu : Front Page : Post-verdict, the BJP's talk of ‘reconciliation'
It is becoming clearer by the day that when the Bharatiya Janata Party and the larger Sangh Parivar talk of “reconciliation” between Hindus and Muslims post-Ayodhya verdict, they simply mean that Muslims must voluntarily give up all claims to any portion of the disputed land on which the Babri Masjid stood till December 1992.
The spokesperson also suggested that ordinary Muslims wanted reconciliation (read want to surrender that right on the one-third disputed site) and that it was the “secularists” who wanted the conflict to continue.

Neena Vyas's rancid reporting

Neena Vyas is evidently frothing at her mouth over the Ayodhya issue. She is letting out all the bile in her stomach through some acidic articles on BJP by freely mixing news with rancour.

In the below articles on Ayodhya, it is hard to distinguish where the news ends and her personal opinions begin. She takes it up as her personal agenda to discredit BJP's statements. So instead of reading BJP's press release, we end up reading Neena Vyas's personal opinion on BJP's statement. Contrast this with how Brinda Karat's views are reported.

The Hindu : Front Page : We now have answer for critics of Ram temple plank, says BJP

The Hindu : News / National : Advani sidelined on Ram temple issue

Neena's ESP

We mortals have normal sensory powers. Super secularists like Neena are a rare breed. They posses microscopic eyes, super sensitive ears and ESP that allow them to see "differences" even when an entity stands united.

Commenting on the NDA's reaction to the budget, Neena says

The one refrain that emerged from the different voices in the National Democratic Alliance.....

She hears "different voices", but as is the case with her, goes on to contradict herself in the next few lines.

While conceding that there were aspects in the budget that were welcome — loan waiver for marginal and small farmers, changes in direct tax slabs benefiting the middle class — the BJP leaders dismissed these as election year sops
.

Note: All BJP leaders spoke in one voice. No "different voice" here.

Leader of the Opposition L. K. Advani was joined by Janata Dal (United) president Sharad Yadav and Shiv Sena leader Anant Geete in pointing out that nothing had been done for those who had taken money from money-lenders at exorbitant interest rates.

The NDA partners too echoed the BJP's stand.

The other point on which the NDA leaders were united was that interest on credit to the farming sector should have been reduced to four per cent (from the current seven per cent).

Neena herself says "united" , so where is the "different voice" that she heard in the opening line?
Does Neena need urgent ENT attention?

Neena thinks for her readers

He said the message sent out was that the Modi government had remained steadfast to the party ideology (Hindutva, although the word was not mentioned) and shown
its commitment to development.

http://www.hindu.com/2008/01/28/stories/2008012857450100.htm

Though Hindutva was not mentioned, Neena wants everyone to believe that Rajnath was indeed referring to it. When reports on CPM's Nandigram pogrom are littered with "alleged", why is there no "alleged" reference here? How come Neena is cock-sure that Rajnath was referring to Hindutva?

Why doesn't Ms Vyas just present news and stop thinking for her readers? People who read Chindu know very well what the ideology of the BJP is and they also know where the loyalties of Ms Vyas and her boss are. The "allegedly" intelligent Neena must shut up and stop presenting views as news.

Who is a worse liar? Neena Vyas or Harsih Khare

Neena Vyas and Harish Khare are back with a bang. Even if you use an electron microscope, you will not find a trace of objectivity in their writing. I don't take them seriously and believe most other do not as well. However, the contradiction in their reports(yesterday) was too stark to be missed.

On the front page Neena Vyas wrote that the Left is not an 'ally', but a supporting party.

Some senior leaders said that it would be in the party’s interest to allow a discussion as it would clearly bring out the fact that the United Progressive Alliance did not have the backing of even its allies, not to speak of the supporting parties

http://www.hindu.com/2007/10/25/stories/2007102562190100.htm

In the opinion pages,Harish Khare commented that

The UPA-Left cooperative equation was premised on an assumption of a convergence of the political (and electoral) interests among the partners, beyond the
anti-BJP instincts.

http://www.hindu.com/2007/10/25/stories/2007102554401000.htm

How come the 'supporting parties ' suddenly became 'Partners' 'beyond political and electoral interests'.

There is no point in asking who is lying- both are. Who is lying more?
