Today's paper has a
headline 'Climate Change to Blame for musth'. I initially understood this to mean something happening to elephants as a result of the climate change phenomenon but actually it is only a change in the elephants' cycle as a result of an unexpected bout of rainfall. The person quoted is a veterinary surgeon and technical expert on the elephant squad, not a climatologist. Someone ought to tell the Hindu the difference between weather and climate. It appears that all the talk of climate change on the planet has gotten into the head of the writer who posted this item.
