Chindu's Seven Stages for dealing with the N-Deal issue

The nuclear deal with a momentum like the Titanic raising across the Atlantic has been a big cause of heartache for Chindu its LiC and most of all its political masters the Left(CPM). With all statements and approvals coming as the UPA predicted the Chindu is left to complain about sour grapes. At this stage it seems as though the falling of the deal is being compared to the loss of someone close. Hence the seven stages of grief comes into picture,
  1. Shock & Denial - The loss of the trust vote lead to numerous articles covering the bribe scandal and other issues.
  2. Pain & guilt - The weeks following that, Chindu moaned about how the nation would become nuclear slaves to the West and how this could've been prevented.
  3. Anger & Bargaining - Now that the deal is on its way to approval as the American amigos had stated, Harish Khare gives a sermon that even though the deal is approved, the leaders should weild the responsibility with care. The article reads what Ben Parker would have told Peter had he been dying in a hospital bed instead of being shot. The remaining stages are listed below and would be interesting to see how the Chindu responds.
  4. Depression, Loneliness
  5. Upward turn
  6. Reconstruction and working through
  7. Acceptance and Hope - Its 2009 and election season!

All deaths are not equal, especially soldiers

Recently terrorists attacked Jammu and killed 4 people and captured 7 others as hostage. The Chindu reports the incident with usual bland candor. The fact reporting is absolutely abhorable like,
Police said two civilians, a jawan, identified as Havildar Vijay Kumar, and a Junior Commissioned Officer Naik Subedar V.V.K. Paarkashan were those killed.

Had these been a few minorities killed by so called fundamentalists the Chindu and its friends the NGO's would have risen in anger.
But unfortunately these are soldiers protecting our country.
How can they be given any respect or their families any support?
The key note of this article is,
The militants, suspected by the police to be those who infiltrated across the border under a cover of firing by the Pakistani forces, came in a goods carrier and attacked an Army checkpost in the Domana-Mishriwala area on the Jammu-Akhnoor-Poonch highway in the morning.

There are several issues with this,
1. The Pakistani government with whom the Chindu wants India to get into bed talking peace is back to its old tricks stabbing civilians.
2. Who owns the goods carrier?
3. Why is the border security so lax?
Unfortunately none of this will be questioned as Chindu resides in the heart of Chennai than the borders of Jammu. But the least it could do is support our troops, but for whatever reasons it will not.

Update:
When I started out on this post, the crux of the thought process is to shed some light on how partisan Chindu has become when it does not pay homage or even lip service to the men and women who serve our country. It treats rabid anti-nationalists and communists to high regard but shows little respect to the real people serving our country. One such person was a victim of the 7/7 attack on the Indian embassy in Kabul Mr. Venkateswara Rao.
While reading another blog more facts came about on this diplomat and patriot. Unfortunately most Indian media being the a-holes they really are would rather focus on non-issues and pseudo sick-ular news.
Props to Outlook on a real good article though.

Nirupama proves she's Pak's dhimmi

Thanks to Schuncher for pointing this recent article in the Chindu.
The theme is a common occurrence in Pak-land in recent times. There are a bunch of soldiers loitering around and suddenly they are ambushed either by 'miscreants' or by an American smart bomb. The Pak military then decides to play the blame game blaming everyone but themselves for the cause of this issue. However that is not the issue with the article.
The Chindu's esteemed Ms. Nirupama Subramanian(a wannabe Pallavi Aiyar) is the official correspondent for Pak affairs. Giving her insights on this issue, NV claims,
The intriguing incident in which four Pakistani soldiers were killed in an ambush by unidentified “miscreants” on the Pakistani side of the Line of Control last Thursday, will help Islamabad rebut Indian claims that the Pakistan Army, or elements in it, are once again assisting cross-LoC infiltration.

Thanks NV, that puts our hardworking Armed forces to rest easy that the Pakistan military is not sponsoring the infiltration. While you are at it, I have some Nigerian oil bonds worth about 15 billion euros I would like to sell to you, if you could kindly provide your bank information. There is very little analysis of the issue and she swallows the Pak official line hook and sinker.
The Pak official spokesman then hilariously states,
“The attackers disappeared after dark, and we could not really trace them or get hold of them,’ he said. The Pakistan Army often uses the term “miscreants” to denote militants.

Mr.Spokesman did they not leave a call back number or perhaps a visiting card? The miscreants are becoming very unreliable these days, makes one look back to the old days when they would wait and give their version before heading out for dinner. Then NV goes on to state the Indian POV,
New Delhi has also been concerned about the recent increase in the activities of banned groups in Pakistan.

Well that seems kind of logical when terrorists decide bomb peaceful civilians like those in Jaipur and other places and most of the attacks seem to have some cross border ties.
In her zeal to provide analysis about foreign affairs she forgets one minor fact, she holds an Indian passport! Reading this article makes one feel as if we are in fact reading 'The Dawn'.
