CNN 2010 Hero of the year named

In a time of greedy politicians, irresponsible members of the media it is heartening to see there are people who are serving fellow human beings. Anuradha Koirala who leads an effort to fight human trafficking (Maiti Nepal) was from chosen among 10 heroes as the CNN 2010 Hero of the year. It is indeed a worthy cause to be supported.
There was a sizable online support by various sites for Narayanan Krishnan of Madurai who,

brings hot meals and dignity to India's homeless and destitute -- 365 days per year -- through his nonprofit Akshaya Trust. Since 2002, he has served more than 1.2 million meals.
