There were many illogical inferences and ignorant observations and I had a tough time picking the one that took the cake. I finally settled for this:
The powerful allure of the symbolism of the combined leadership of Sonia Gandhi, representing the party’s traditional commitment to the poor and the deprived, and Manmohan Singh, the iconic reformer taking India on a higher trajectory of economic growth, thus fulfilling the dreams of many a middle-class Indian, ensured the Congress a triumphant return to the centre of the political arena. From that moment, as the leading party of the governing coalition, the United Progressive Alliance, the Congress has had an unprecedented opportunity to rebuild the centre of the Indian political field, making the revitalisation of Indian democracy its main focus
powerful leadership.... Manmohan Singh.... commitment to the poor....allure of the symbolism ...triumphant return ...unprecedented opportunity ... revitalisation of Indian democracy ....Boy-o-Boy.... that is a mouthful from Malini... Even if we overlook the Congress' "alleged" pro- poor image (looks like lip service and a mere mention of aam admi in the manifesto is a clinching qualification for any party , barring the BJP of course, to earn the pro-poor tag from Marxist rags) , the lie about "leadership" is too glaring to be missed. The Congress never projected a leader when it fought LS2004. Everyone was expecting Madam Maino to warm the PM's chair in the event of the Congress mananging 272 by hook or crook. The eventual Puppet Minister Manmohan was no where in the picture. He was not even contesting a seat -let alone being projected as a leader who could "fulfill the dreams of many a middle-class Indian". But Malini gives it a secular spin and lavishes praise on Madam Maino and Manmohan for projecting a leadership that it powerful, alluring and what not ; thereby paving the way for the Congress' "triumphant return to the centre ". The Congress "win" is one of the worst myths that the Marxist rags are stuffing down the readers' throat for the past 4 years. It is not a "win" in the first place. Ram gave this issue a similar spin late last year and we exposed him . Now his cousin is reiterating the same lie which even many in the Congress would find it hard to peddle . This is yet another shamelss demonstration of the age old communist cheap trick of making a lie sound true through repeated assertion.

So, Malini P wants to show (or has been permitted to show) that she may be down, but certainly not out, alhtough she has been sidelined due to the internal/family politics of Chindu. She bears a vicious hatred for BJP which even beats the Chief. Five years ago when she was the Executive Editor she wrote two editorials (one of which was titled "Harvest of Hatred") after the victory of Modi.
With yet another victory of Modi which Malini can not tolerate she had to come out of the closet and sermonise Sonia G.
These secular media creatures always talk about the "traditional commitment of the Congress party to the poor, the deprived and weaker sections of the society" which in reality means vote bank politics. The stupid secular media never dare question as to why in spite of "enlightened rule" by the Congress party for several decades, crores of people still remain "poor, deprived and weak".
Of course, the same question applies to W.Bengal which the Chief will conveniently ignore.
Anyhow, Malini P has clearly shown that she is an unabashed sycophant of Sonia G.
I think Manmohan contested from South Delhi and lost to V K Malhotra- actually the only seat that BJP won in Delhi, and Kaangress lost.
No.. Manmohan did not contest from South Delhi; RK Anand was Madam Maino's man there....Yes. BJP did win the lone south Delhi seat, but not by defeating Manmohan Singh; but by defeating RK Anand.
You are right. Thanks for the correction.
The last time one heard of Malini was in late 2003 when she went into hiding to evade JJ's arrest warrant.looks like a comeback of sorts.
One paragraph containing just two sentences. Do they have a copy desk at all at the South Indian China Post?
Nice to see this blog lively and thriving..... the longer you guys stay on course, the more popularity this blog is going to gain. I say this without any hesitation.
Regarding the previous post, I don't know if you guys read the chief's admission sometime back that Neena has the habit of mixing news with her own views. The lady is quiet thick skinned.
"Humbug called Gujarat model" by, who else, but Harish Khare!
Chindu seems to be endlessly lamenting upon the fact that Sonia Congress is not measuring upto Chindu's political expectations. That being the case, Chindu itself should float an outfit (AHP would be an apt name, Anti Hindus Party), just like corporate houses sponsoring sports clubs.
malini is an owner of the paper as is Ram. So there isnt any question of her being permanently sidelined. Why do you insist that every article be put into the same frame of reference?
